The New Government Quarter will contribute to a better urban environment — it will be efficient, flexible and secure for the ministries it will house in the years to come. It will be an area of representation for the government, yet open and available to all. Four words guide its development: noble, enduring, beautiful, and friendly. The concept adapts to the city; when finished, the New Government Quarter will convey Norwegian values: transparency, accessibility and a close affinity to nature. It will be a highly functional and attractive place to work, and it will feel like a natural extension of the city — a place where the residents of the city will feel at home.
